The Forum of Vocational Excellence 2025 was held in Kolding, Denmark during 8th – 10th September 2025.The Forum brought together the leaders, VET professionals and great project people from CoVEs and VET organisations around Europe and beyound.

Together 400 participants coming from all over Europe and beyond, with representatives from VET practice, research, all kinds of European policy associations, national ministries, chambers of commerce and of course, the European institutions.

Helsinki Business College Ltd. has one of the first funded CoVE project, DIHUB. So, we celebrate here the results and great CoVE community.

Brilliance for Excellence – Key Success Factors of CoVEs

As part of the Forum on Vocational Excellence 2025, Helsinki Business College had the privilege of coordinating the workshop “Brilliance for Excellence – Key Success Factors of CoVEs” together with five other CoVE projects and our Canadian partner INOVEM.

The session was moderated by Helena Miettinen, Helsinki Business College Ltd..

We heard inspiring insights on building excellent CoVEs from:
 • Jouni Hytönen, Helsinki Business College Ltd. (DIHUB project)
 • Adrijana Hodak, Nova Gorica, Slovenia (Talentjourney project)
 • Elina Kollanus, OMNIA, Finland (Auto-CoVE 2.0 project)
 • Karolina Sikala, Green Academy, Denmark (BARCOVE project)
 • Becky Riches (MOSAIC project)
 • Alicia Gaban, EARLALL, Belgium (LCAMP – Learner-Centric Advanced Manufacturing Platform)

Our Canadian cooperation partner INOVEM shared experiences from their Technology Transfer Center model in the Québec region, presented by Bernard Lefrançois and Éric Allard. Their model fits perfectly with the description of a well-functioning CoVE.

The workshop brought together vocational education experts and stakeholders from across Europe and beyond. The energy in the room was fantastic – participants were truly inspired to explore how we can take the CoVE concept to the next level. As a co-creation platform, we used the Innoduel application, which enabled active participation and collective idea-building.

Key success factors highlighted during the workshop:
– Innovative training approaches and forward-looking themes
– Strong partnerships and collaboration across regions and sectors
– Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) as a driver for excellence
– Support for SMEs in their growth and transformation
– Community building to strengthen engagement and long-term impact

A warm thank you to all contributors and participants for making this such a dynamic and forward-looking session!

On Wednesday we had a day trip to Euroskills 2025 in Herning.

Thank you Denmark and all involved with the organisation. Great co-working, learning and meeting you!
